Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Vampires.
Never seen it. So bad, but I'm enjoying it.
Nice seeing El Scorpio from Predator 2 again.

The Babysitter
Fun but what a mess of a script. We started the sequel and it was even worse.

Never understood the fascination with the Baldwins. Alec is the only good one.

We've thought about putting this on just for Samara Weaving. Can't say I'm much interested the plot but I think Weaving is great.Mickey wrote:The Babysitter

The plot is okay, though there are moments where it really falls apart. We were hoping for a slick campy movie but it's way too obsessed with its own referentiality, and some of the dialogue is peak cringe. But, not a bad time.epilogue wrote:We've thought about putting this on just for Samara Weaving. Can't say I'm much interested the plot but I think Weaving is great.Mickey wrote:The Babysitter

She is so fucking good. She is a star. But im a huge fan of both Babysitter 1 and 2. Listened to a podcast with Mcg about the shooting of those two and it made me like them more. Super fun ride.epilogue wrote:We've thought about putting this on just for Samara Weaving. Can't say I'm much interested the plot but I think Weaving is great.Mickey wrote:The Babysitter

We watched the trailer last night, it looks more like a remake than a sequel, some of the scenes are literally repeated. Not sure if this is better or worse. The original is so good.VinylGuy wrote:How good is the cast? Even Rachel True, whom i didnt remembered much. But Fairuza Balk is so fucking good. And yeah agreed on Weaving, she was so good in Ready or Not and she held Babysitter together.

Oh, she was incredible in Ready or Not. First time i saw her was on Ash vs Evil Dead, a minor character...she was so fucking good. Then Smilf. She is magnetic, funny, great.Mickey wrote:And yeah agreed on Weaving, she was so good in Ready or Not and she held Babysitter together.

Good to know. Maybe we'll throw it on when we want something easy that we can talk during.Mickey wrote:The plot is okay, though there are moments where it really falls apart.
