I saw that in my suggested videos too. I remember it from back in the day, about '88. I wonder how that would play today? Would it even make it air?

Re: Saturday Night Live
No way it makes it to air today. There's a skit from that era where Mike Myers plays an Asian movie studio executive. It never shows up on the reruns or currently on Peacock - I can only assume because it's seen as racist.Biff Pocoroba wrote:I saw that in my suggested videos too. Re: Saturday Night Live
Had this conversation last night: Top 5 best female cast members in no particular order...
Fey
Poehler
Wiig
McKinnon
Shannon
Of that group I only agree with a couple. Wiig is easily the best. McKinnon up there.
Fey and Poehler OVERRATED.
Shannon meh.
I think you gotta include Oteri. And the name is escaping me but the gal who played “Pat” was great. I was not a devoted fan of the show. Who am I missing?

Maya Rudolph
Rachel Dratch
OGs would have Gilda Radner and possibly Jan Hooks in the convo.

Vanessa Bayer was consistently funny, but not sure she had many signature characters.

she's very funny, but she also kinda peaked early and's been pretty inconsistent for a few seasons now.VinylGuy wrote:please, SNL had so much talent McKinnon does not deserve to be in any top 5. Top 15 maybe. 20.

And SNL had legends. She is funny and has just one act. The quirky weird crazy girl.

Yea. Its kind of gotten old for me. She is a hell of a performer but her shtick is very one dimensional at this point.VinylGuy wrote:And SNL had legends. She is funny and has just one act. The quirky weird crazy girl.

Re: Saturday Night Live
Surprise surprise, the John Mulaney episode has the best one yet this season. Of his four hostings this was probably the weakest one start to finish but still better than recent weeks'. He just fits in so well and everyone seems to step it up.
Weekend Update got some good digs in; their last jabs before Tuesday.
Where's Aidy & Cecily been?
David Chappelle hosts the next new one in two weeks so first one back after the election I have high expectations on that one too.

My wife said she saw somewhere that Aidy has been absent because she's been filming for Shrill.
