It's better tonight. My initial puke reaction is hard to overcome, but I think this will get there. I listened maybe 8 or 9 times during the day and am on my 3rd time through the LB songs now tonight. Lights off, headphones on.

It is a beautiful song, and as long as you let yourself get a little taken by it without acknowledging the immediate reaction of most rock fans, it can be something special. Double that with thoughts of your 2yo son as you read through the lyrics as you listen. This might get me some goosebumps after all.

I retract my earlier disgust and am quietly hoping this actually can be a centerpiece. Jury's still out, but at least it's not convicted after the prosecution's argument earlier today...

Poison was probably 1986-1989 or so. Not sure I had a favorite band until 1992

Discovered pearl jam and metallica at about the same time. Metallica was number 2 until 1994/1995, at which point I had heard enough REM to put them there.
