I think a good default position is one where we recognize that most of us know next to nothing and that there is a massive web of extremely powerful and motivated interests standing between us and whatever the truth is, and thus none of our institutions can be trusted. It's kind of freeing once you get the hang of it. I know I know, I'm being paranoid and pessimistic or whatever.

Or we should just treat polls with a bigger grain of salt than we have been.

Polls have become bastardized. They should be used by politicians as one of many ways to understand their populace and base. Now they are used to re-assure ourselves about our opinions. That a poll is right or wrong should hold no sway or power on an individual.

We received more votes from Pinal County. According to turnout estimates, around 440,000 votes remain in counties won by Trump in 2016. Clinton 2016 counties have around 80,000 votes left to report.

A full 450,000 of those ballots are in Maricopa County (Phoenix) and break down as follows: 248,000 early ballots (which in Arizona includes both mail-in and in-person votes) that arrived on Monday or Tuesday, 160,000-180,000 mail-in ballots dropped off on Election Day and 29,000 provisional ballots. Maricopa expects to release two batches of results tonight: one at 9 p.m. Eastern and one sometime after 12:30 a.m. Eastern.

Not sure 2016 results mean much here--Biden is winning Maricopa County 52-46. Arizona is likely done.

Yeah I was more clarifying in response to Anders. I think this whole thing is done, no matter what happens in PA. AZ/NV/WI/MI deliver it to Biden.
