That was based on faulty data. They had 98% of votes counted, but it was only 86%.
The AP never rescinded their AZ call.
Also, the AP called some states before one vote was counted. As soon as the polls closed on the west coast, California, Oregon, And Washington were instantly called for Biden when 0% of the votes were counted. When I looked for the reason, I read the following: "AP people know their shit so STFU and STFD" I was like, "ok, ok"
They should have done so.
Why? Sure seems like they knew what was up all along.
Because they had faulty data at first. After that was discovered, with the amount of votes left, and where they were coming from, the state has been one of the closest and most difficult to call.

Biden is leading with 43.000 votes, and Trump is gaining, with 7% of the votes left to count. Trump will lose the election, but could still win this state.

Because like it or not the President speaking is inherently newsworthy. I get why they cut away, but CNN didn't and that's what I was watching. Had I been watching on MSNBC when they cut away I would have changed the channel to CNN.
