Sorry if you hate to hear it, but Sorkin's vision of American politics as they should be is just impossibly simplified and unrealistic.

You can wish a parlimentary system and neutrality in the face of literal fascism *wave* on us as much as you want. It won't warm your cockles more than Sorkin, but it also won't be representative of what is.
