My wife has been laughing about the Four Seasons Landscaping thing for over an hour. Now I can't stop.

I’m sure Bartlett says the same at some point
American propaganda has always been a thing. Almost always everything but benign.

Sorkin is a special kind of coke addled Americana. It was never intended for foreign consumption. This was a major oversight on our part.dimejinky99 wrote:simple schoolboy wrote:It was bad enough that we poisoned the brains of beltway types, but we exported this to foreigners? You’re beyond boring at this stage. Also, you can stop with the DMs. Press play.
Your pal Nigel is having a meltdown over this.

Sorry if you hate to hear it, but Sorkin's vision of American politics as they should be is just impossibly simplified and unrealistic.dimejinky99 wrote:simple schoolboy wrote:Sorkin is a special kind of coke addled Americana. You can wish a parlimentary system and neutrality in the face of literal fascism *wave* on us as much as you want. It won't warm your cockles more than Sorkin, but it also won't be representative of what is.
Its a shame about the DMs. You went through the troubles. I had hoped you had some insight for a way out for the American factions that hate each other so. Unlike you lot, we have no outside power that might turn off the spigot of arms.

I am truly impressed by simple schoolboy’s consistency on this board over such long period of time. I don’t often agree but he’s right about Aaron Sorkin. I like some of it (newsroom) but that’s real guilty pleasure material.

He’s fun as an example. This is exactly why every Fucking single thing in this world is completely fucked.
British incompetence and English arrogance. Look to the root of every major conflict in history if in doubt. Or just America’s history.

I don’t know if you’re referencing simple schoolboy or Aaron Sorkin, but I think it’s more complicated than that.dimejinky99 wrote:Rob wrote:I am truly impressed by simple schoolboy’s consistency on this board over such long period of time. Trump built up an early lead on election night but Biden climbed back and beat him in overtime.Biff Pocoroba wrote:I've been away for a few days, did I miss anything?
