I put on a nice & easy Sunday playlist for breakfast today. The idea was to tune out and celebrate that a large chunk of this stressful election cycle is now over, or at least wrapping up. Still, my wife and I couldn't help but talk about that landscaping presser, the speeches last night, the many ways Trump will "concede" while not conceding... Even when trying to leave it all behind, everything is front and center.

For the immediate moment, I think this is healthy and natural. If we're still laughing about Trump and his disaster of an administration by the time Biden is inaugurated, I don't think that will be as healthy. At what point do we who voted Trump out of office seem like sore winners? How much does an advantage for republicans grow in 2024 the longer some sort of gloating goes on?

I'm going to be happy to have a president who isn't dismissive of me because I'm a democrat. He made me feel like I was an outsider, an enemy. what a weird feeling.
