Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The monologue and the first skit were fantastic. The rest of the episode was fine to bad. The Mario bit was fucking terrible. A couple of great moments in Update. I agree that it all felt rushed and hobbled overall. But I was in such a good mood that I just didn't take care.

Would love to see Baldwin retire the Trump roll in Jan. Have him take off the wig and such on air and set it aside never to return.

No. The ball popping skid was juvenile at best for the first 10 seconds and then it just repeated. It was annoying and not funny. Sorry!

I haven't checked but I assumed it was Kyle because he was in it and it was stupid. Those are usually the two main ingredients in a Kyle Mooney sketch.

But I wouldn't be surprised if it was Day either.

Just finished it. Chappelle's monologue was looooong. Enjoyed it, tho.

The Aunt Jemima sketch was fucking great. I always love it when they crack up and that was some epic cracking up. "Look at Pete Davidson's lips!"

The Mario sketch was fucking hilarious. Sanded down. Ha!

The first Foos tune was quite boring. If they pare it down to a minute, it'd be a great intro to some jam out rocker. As it was, tho, it just kinda went on and on. No dynamics to it at all.

Weekend Update. Great. I cried I was laughing so hard when Che took his tie off. It was like the most unexpected thing he could think of and it took Jost totally by surprise.

Everything after WU was forgettable.

I finally went back and watched last season's John Mulaney episode. I didn't realize that so much of this season's JM episode was a rehash of the jokes/skits from last year.

Kind of a bummer. Made both episodes less enjoyable to me for some reason. Which sucks because he's a funny dude. Ah well.
