Because their similar positions on climate, abortion, taxes, entitlement spending, covid policies, etc?
Of course they are not the same. Taxes, im not so sure they are that different. But Biden has been super pro war in all his career, his role in the 2003 irak war is pretty fucked up. Dont forget his 2014 claims about immigrants and the cages.
Im not sure whats his take on economy. Im thinking he will open the US economy, while Trump closed it and had economy blossom.
1/2 the internet: the Democrats are way too far left, that's why they didn't win as much as they wanted/predicted on Tuesday
the other 1/2 of the internet: the Democrats are way too far right - they're practically the same as Trump!

Well see.
Wait, what?!
I'm not here to argue Biden is good. I'm disagreeing with Biden being closer to Trump than "the middle," whatever that nebulous term refers to. Both parties mirror each other in a lot of awful ways and Biden is another in that line of surprisingly hawkish Democrats, but I think anybody thinking that Biden is well to the right of the American "middle" is engaging in wishful thinking. 70 million people just voted for Trump.

well, for those guys Biden is a communist and thats just....I mean. He is way more conservative, pro war, economic liberal and right wing than any of his democrats voters would like to admit.

I didn't vote for Biden for his leftist ideals. I voted for him because he was the one choice that wasn't Trump. No one believers the "extreme left/communist" horseshit, not liberal voters, not the Trump supporters that made it up.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I'm not sure of your use of "economic liberal" but besides that I don't think we particularly disagree about Biden's positions. I think we completely disagree about where that places him in American political ideologies as well as within the Democratic party. I think he's actually a pretty decent avatar for Democratic voters on net and is a reflection of the Democratic Party being more conservative, etc. than the left flank of the party wishes it was. But he seems to me to be very centrist relative to the nation and center/center right of the Democratic party as a whole. And regardless of what those 70 million Trump voters say/think about Biden they're all on the political spectrum and that's approximately 70 million people (of 145+ million voters) right there that Biden isn't more conservative than. So I come back to him being centrist again.

yeah, im would have vote for him too just because it was the other guy. Now thats behind us, and we talk a little bit more about him, i also feel the guy is, of course different from Trump, but he is not the guy most of the democrats voters would want. And after that is impossible not to be let down by the fact that Sanders would have a radical change like Obama was at the time.

Going by vote totals and outcomes in US primaries can be extremely misleading, but if Bernie Sanders was the person "most Democrats" wanted then he would have won the nomination and maybe the presidency.

Nah, not that either.
Right. I was a Bernie guy and admit he got smoked in the primary this time. I wonder if people just wanted to reverse the last election, and the guy who was Obama's VP fit that bill. No disrespect to Biden, but he just seemed like that "safe" choice.
