I was at St. Louis VFC too. Definitely the nicest venue I've ever seen PJ play (probably because it's the only one that wasn't an amphitheater, arena, or stadium).

It's gorgeous. Saw Ed play a solo show there in 2011 as well.Kevin Davis wrote:I was at St. Louis VFC too. Definitely the nicest venue I've ever seen PJ play (probably because it's the only one that wasn't an amphitheater, arena, or stadium).

Yeah, it's easily the most intimate and beautiful space I've seen PJ in. Would have loved to see Ed solo there. That's cool, MD.Monkey_Driven wrote:It's gorgeous. I usually hit the STL shows over the Chicago-area shows -- we should coordinate next time

I'd love to see pro-shot footage of the two 2005 shows in St. John's, Newfoundland at the end of the Canadian tour.
I'm from Newfoundland, and to see my favourite band twice in a 6000-seat venue in my home town, surrounded by literally everybody I grew up listening to PJ with, was something I'll never forget.
Downtown St. John's is so small that everyone I know has a story about meeting somebody from the band -- my roommate ran into Stone while walking his dog, of all things, and they had a conversation about that. What a memorable weekend!

If they have any outtakes left from 93-96, I'd be interested in those, but other than that, I'm good. For all the whining, we've kind of been spoiled.

That's a great memory. The '05 tour Canadian tour is still one of the coolest things the band has done.guitar_davey wrote:I'd love to see pro-shot footage of the two 2005 shows in St. John's, Newfoundland at the end of the Canadian tour.

Studio versions of
Falling Down, Last Soldier, Puzzles & Games and Anything in Between
Maybe add Cold Concession, Of the Earth and Let it Ride and release it as a lost album

This is probably what I go with if I had to pick something. I'd add any and all other complete songs. High quality studio versions of all yet-to-be released songs would be amazing.gardenparty wrote:Studio versions of

I'd even take a February 1998 show.Kevin Davis wrote:Some Vault shows from '96, '97, or March '98 are the only PJ thing I still really find myself still hoping for.
Some studio outtakes from the Irons era would be cool, but based on currently circulating PJ studio outtakes, I wouldn't go in with high expectations.

no wonder Ed's voice is shot, he apparently recorded 7000 versions of all of these songs you guys are collecting where he vocally climaxed, then went out and sang 37,000 concerts

The could have made a really cool movie on that Canada 2005 tour.
I'm mostly interested in any of the unreleased stuff they still have. Besides what's already been mentioned in this thread, these would be really cool to hear:
* the Jack Irons versions of Thin Air, Of The Girl, Parting Ways, and Bayleaf
* the supposed sung version of Bu$hleaguer
