Trying to buy one today is 10C Ticket level frustrating. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that I won't get one until they are readily available. With covid lockdown, that probably won't be till 2022

I feel bad complaining, considering many people haven't been able to secure a pre-order.. but I just learned I won't be receiving my PS5 package until Monday. Label with tracking number was created on Tuesday, yet somehow UPS doesn't get their hands on it until this afternoon... wtf

In Transit, 11/12/2020 3:47 P.M., Doraville, GA, United States, Origin Scan
11/12/2020 12:44 P.M., Doraville, GA, United States, Package is in transit to a UPS facility
Label Created, 11/10/2020 2:48 P.M., United States, Shipper created a label, UPS has not received the package yet.

I miraculously scored one from Sony's direct website about 2 hours ago; they seems to restock right around the same time as wal mart. I'd check there again around 6pm ET for those looking to buy. I'm kind of in shock that I landed one, I just refreshed the screen and the add to cart option appeared. Once I added to the cart there was virtually no loading until my order was complete. They must have some beefy servers online today. My order status is 'preparing to ship.' I've got my fingers crossed for this weekend since I selected the express shipping option.

FYI wal mart will be restocking online at 6pm and 9pm ET today. I tried wal mart twice today at 12 and 3 it was an expected shit show. Made it all the way to 'place your order' and then my cart was emptied. It's infuriating like 10C ticket sales as someone else said. Strongly recommend using Sony's site if you can. They seem to be restocking sporadically through the day.

Pretty fast download speeds for everything. Haven't had a chance to play anything yet though.

I'm guessing MD took one of his 1000 available sick days and is in the middle of a PS5 marathon

People were camped out for the PS5 at WalMart and Target this morning. Wasn't this released yesterday? Walmart had no signs of anything PS5 - no games or accessories. At Target people were buying systems. I got SpiderMiles there. Weird launch. Mine is out for delivery.

ugh yeah a little frustrating my preorder won't arrive til Monday with all these scabs picking up consoles in store... again though, solace in that I won't be risking COVID and just general peace of mind for months with a secured pre-order... worth it ... just a few more days... ... ...

I took a vacation day. Hope to play some more this afternoon.

So far, I'm very impressed by the SSD and how snappy everything is.

Were they just picking up systems that were pre-ordered?

Employees said that people camped overnight. Target previously said that you would need to buy online and pick-up in store. WalMart seemed equally confused on Tuesday for XBOX. They didn't have any of the new XSX games on Tuesday either.

Weird. I've noticed very few stores have PS5/XBox series displays/games as well.

I thought I read somewhere that the PS5 (probably XBox too) woudl only be available to order online and store pick up (i.e., there would be no units available in store largely due to of pandemic).
