Fucked around and ran 43 miles this week. Beautiful weather. Also eclipsed 1,000 miles for the year. With my shoulder operation and covid floating around, that's something I'm happy to have done.

Well done. Unless I go wild the next 7 weeks, I'm probably going to end up with ~875 miles. My lowest total since I started running. That 50K back in May seems like another lifetime ago.

nice. I did one on Monday. was good mechanically but I was slow and low on energy cuz I biked like 70 the day before.

did my first 5k today...it ended up being more like 3.4-3.45 miles, for some reason...i think my tracker was being a little generous on the distance, but it was showing me around 29:50 at 3.10 miles and 33:10 at the finish line...my tracker showed 3.49 at that point, but my friend's showed 3.42...so idk

i'm proud of my time after having covid, not being able to exercise, and a few nights in a row of terrible sleep

You gotta keep in mind that you are never gonna take the same line as your buddy so there is always going to be some small variation even if you seemingly run the same course.

yeah that's true...we both have apple watches with GPS...another person said his showed around 3.43, but i'm not sure what kind of tracker he uses

there was a pretty long hill at the beginning and end when we circled back, and i have not done hills at all

my friend used to do them a lot, but said her heart's not in it anymore and this is her last...i'm going to peer pressure into doing more

hills make running a lot more dynamic. they are very good for a million reasons

yeah, me and my buddies never have the same distance on anything. the longer we bike or run the more it separates. on a 40km bike ride a guy can sometimes have almost half a km on the other although that is high.

i couldn't really slow myself going back down, lol...i just hoped i wouldn't fall and bust my face open

yeah my friend and i are usually only a small amount off, but obviously a much shorter distance...today was a bit of an anomaly

the fastest time today was 19 something...i'll be interested to see the full results as i have no clue where i ranked or how many people there were...i was probably at the bottom of my age range
