Are we considering studio output or live stage presence only?

As a live presence I have to nominate Eddie Vedder on this list. I get his vocal range is limited and he makes a fair amount of mistakes, but when you are there, the guy makes you feel like he’s playing to you in your living room with you and 20,000 of your best friends. I can’t say I have had that kind of experience in many other places. The closest I would say so far would be Bruce Springsteen but even then you still feel like you are in a cavernous place when you see him play.
