Does LTRP have piano? It's not prominent if it does.
The piano on this album is one hell of a lot more tasteful than on Backspacer, so far.

Trim not a moment.harmless wrote:It'll make it even more palatable. Is that better? Depends who you are. But there's got to be some solo in there, even if it's a radio edit, so what do you lose? I wouldn't lose a thing personally.jforte20 wrote:That's kinda what I was thinking toostip wrote:I wonder if a radio edit makes the song better?harmless wrote:It's 5 minutes 40 or whatever it is, so yeah I think we're sure.jforte20 wrote:Do we know that the Sirens leak isn't a Radio Edit?

Yes he does, but how distinctive it sounds I guess will depend on the song.Farmer John wrote:Hey, the man jangles a mean acoustic guitar.harmless wrote:It very well might do. Sirens should been just piano and no guitars.harmless wrote:Does LTRP have piano? It's not prominent if it does.

I love it as it is. If it had just been voice and piano, people would've been pissed off that it was just piano and voice, "an Ed solo song that BO'B has ruined" -- double whammy of awful. I don't think he can win at this point.Lounge Lizard wrote:Sirens should been just piano and no guitars.harmless wrote:Does LTRP have piano? It's not prominent if it does.

Sirens gets played in an hour or so officially right?
On Sirius and bbc etc?
Man I can't wait to read the pit tonight. It's gonna be even more polarising over there than here.
They're all on a weird bad negative phase apparently

It would be like this giant shiny sign that he's tricked us into avoiding in favor of rusty ones.
A giant, shiny fucking sign with the words 'You've been rickrolled by Ed and The Seattle Street Boys'.
Unfortunately they will keep rocking to their version of never-gonna-give-you-up with a straight face, missing their own joke.

We here at RM had that happen about a month after Backspacer.
We seemed to take it in shifts though:)

it is apparently the platonic form of a certain type of songMcParadigm wrote:Sure it is. Each person comes in and says "wow, it reminds me of...." And each time, there's a quality or a moment that does remind one of that artist. That's not an insult to the song. It's representative of how hard it is to get a grasp on what exactly it is.harmless wrote:This one's going on my list, because it's no truer now than it always was...McParadigm wrote:It seems like each new person to hear it finds a different reference point to share. Gonna take lots more listens for it to sink in though.
I wish i said that in the review

The irony of a comparison like that is that I'm pretty sure Rick Astley had a better handle on "his own joke" than Pearl Jam ever did or ever will.Lounge Lizard wrote:i'm telling you i would fucking applaude them for it.harmless wrote:I love it as it is.
