This song actually got a fair bit of airplay on MTV in '97 or so, and weirdly it was on some adult alternative satellite station in regular rotation in the mid 2000's at one of my college jobs. Apparently it features McCready on lead guitar. I always enjoyed this tune, but it never inspired me to seek out more:

I, too, had never heard a tune by Brad. Until the one Kevin Davis posted above. Certainly didn’t make me want to hear more from them.

Which one in that video is the one that’s so butt-hurt that Ed and Pearl Jam destroyed his career?

Brad are ok, but they were never going to be popular. They're not doing anything unique and they're kinda boring.

Most of the super popular bands and artists are like that.

True, but I guess there's a bigger market for boring rock than for boring adult contemporary.

I think they felt at the time that the label didnt promote the album as much, tv appearances, festivals, all that stuff. We have to understand than in 1993, everyone was craving for a Seattle band, so yes they could have had a more successful mainstream path maybe. Who knows.
But at the same time they were on Epic because of Pearl Jam so...

I found Brad mildly interesting. My favorite tracks, besides "The Day Brings," are "20th Century" and "We."

I've always loved this Brad song. It wasn't until recently that I realized it wasn't Shawn Smith singing. (it's the bass player I think?)
