contemplated an altercation today at the gas station. had my mask on and stopped inside to pay and a guy got in before i did. i noticed he had no mask on and he said to the lady behind the counter (and plastiglass) you must hate me but i hate wearing those masks. and he looked at me like he was so proud for being such a jerk. just stood at the door laughing and went out and pumped his gas

Wearing a mask is pretty horrible, to be honest.

My glasses fog up and I can't see a thing.

I've only done it two or three times this year and that was bad enough.

You just gotta get one of those nose pinchers to go on/inside it and you're good to go, can't fog ya if it can't get out.

The wire in these helps sometimes but not all the time. Having glasses sucks with masks for sure.

He was shorter than me and looked like a imp so he may have some magical subset of powers that would have totally caught me off guard

Are you so blind that you can’t go without your glasses for a bit?

I am. It sucks and I can’t do mask and glasses. But I wear contacts for 95% of the time.

As of earlier this week, our state government has mandated that surgical-grade masks must be worn in all healthcare environments.

Because I'm a public sector worker who is employed by our health service, that unfortunately includes my office - even though it's nowhere near any members of the public or patients, etc.

So I'm working from home (as is everyone else) because forget trying to wear a mask for 8+ hours a day while trying to work.

Getting back to your point, I wouldn't be able to read this computer screen without my glasses, the idea of going without them isn't going to fly.

I donned a mask for the first time ever the other day because I (most unfortunately) had to visit the local Apple Store (wife was getting a new phone - personally I don't apple). Did not particularly enjoy the experience I must say, but wasn't terrible I guess. Can confirm glasses fogged up like a Mo Fo though.

Between this and Higgs, I’m thinking Aussies think like Americans, but are actually afforded the opportunity to type these types of sentences out.

Has anyone done a poll of RMers that can work from home full time vs. those that have to go in to work?

Pretty sure the largely gen X/ older Millenial demographics skews towards a work from home baseline.

How is "everyone" working from home in Australia? All you need are white collar jobs to keep things moving down there?
