There were talks of gathering for Thanksgiving, though it never materialized.I think even the moreHiggs wrote:Shit.verb_to_trust wrote:My grandma and her husband have it. They're coughing and feverish. Hope they pull through.
foolish people in my family knew deep down it would have been stupid. It could have been a disaster.

Yep, it's the aerosols, not just the heavier droplets. Main reason why I haven't touched a restaurant or bar with a ten-foot pole in months even though they're all open here.

I follow all our rules and every Tuesday finds me bowling and Wednesday playing trivia at the pub. I trust our government's contact tracing and understanding of where it is spreading.Orpheus wrote:Yep, it's the aerosols, not just the heavier droplets. I usually get delivery, drive-thru at most. Will occasionally go into a place if I absolutely have to but try to choose that very judiciously.

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
It's easy to trust it at the moment as it allows most of the things I want to be able to do. I can see my kid, go to the gym, bowling alley and out for a drink. During a pandemic that's enough for me. They all have pretty strict protocol but I can deal with that. Max five people at the gym is actually quite niceMickey wrote:Wow what's that likesurfndestroy wrote:I trust our government's contact tracing and understanding of where it is spreading.

It's a good thing Biden won. Seems pretty clear from different statements I've read from people like Pelosi that hysteria theater would have been a big part of 2021 if orange man had won.

Although as it pertains to Covid, I never really understood the arguments that suggest democrats are playing politics with the virus. I’m never happy to defend the party but many democrats have done the unpopular things they needed to do despite the heat they knew they’d take. No response has been perfect but at least here in the northeast, I think they’ve done a fine job so far.

All other states should have figured out some sort of mandatory quarantine for when New Yorkers were fleeing the city. That one event was probably most responsible for spreading this nationwide (West Coast was an unrelated outbreak).
