I've held off watching Spenser Confidential because it was obvious from the trailer it couldn't be farther away from the book series and actually it was even farther than I thought but I must have been in the right mood cause it didn't bother me. The girlfriend was pretty funny. She reminded me of the boxer's wife skit on SnL. That gets me ever time.
