I'm watching it today. It looks completely awfulThe Argonaut wrote:Are you not sure how you feel about Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, and Dunkirk? Well, get ready for Christopher Nolan: The Movie, in which we finally get to watch Christopher Nolan crawl right up into his own butt. It's a dark place where nothing makes sense and it is almost impossible to hear anything.

Haha yeah Tenet does not look good. It appears to be a lot of the worst of what Nolan does. I hate when good artists reach a point in their careers where they appear to feel like everything they touch is genius. They need people around them to say something.

Happiest Season was fine.
Great cast. Largely charming. Sometimes eye-rolly. Aubrey Plaza is a treasure.

Sound of Metal.
I really liked it. I wasnt as moved as Trag, at all. I thought the story was fine but very obvious. Still, the photography and framing were great, the sound design was awesome and Riz Ahmed was good as always.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Watched two very different movies yesterday
Sweetie You Won't Believe It - A pitch-black horror-comedy from Kazakhstan, very ridiculous and very fun
Tenet - Really did not enjoy it even a little bit on any level, came very close to turning it off several times

Re: What movies are you watching?
Yeah it was good. Not a great movie--the brother character was totally illogical--but a fun update on the Wells story and Moss was incredible, as usual. Also, not sure if it's because we just bought a new TV or what but it looked beautiful.VinylGuy wrote:thoughts? I really liked itMickey wrote:Watched The Invisible Man (2020).

Re: What movies are you watching?
That was the last movie I watched in the theater before Covid. I hated it -- it was like the worst parts of arthouse horror and a Marvel superhero movie combined

It's playing at an online film festival right now but I think access to it is geo-restricted. I'm sure it'll be more widely available soontragabigzanda wrote:Ok, a couple reviews and still have me intrigued. Where can I watch it?
