I'm in the same boat. I keep listening, and I keep not caring much. I really want to get into this, I promise.

Still holding out hope for the album overall, though.

On the 2nd listen now. It's not improving for me. I do like Ed's falsetto though and weird sound around the 1:42 mark.

I don't hate this one, but I don't like it as of now either. Maybe 2.5 stars at this stage. Maybe it'll improve, but I don't know.

Kinda strange...as I got out of my car this morning at work, there was breaking news that a train and a bus had collided here in Ottawa. Turns out six people died and it has really been hanging over everyone in this city today. This song seems to have a little added poignancy given the mood around here...

Wow. I don't know what to say other than yeah, that'll add some poignancy to this.

Sirens doesn't seem that far removed from a song like this:

I can hear how McCready might have thought it sounded like a Pink Floyd song to begin with but that piano is a commercial power ballad staple. I did find it funny in the Sirens video how McCready takes his acoustic guitar off and has his electric guitar underneath ready to go for the solo.

I think they're doing something bad well. What possessed them to go down this road ill never know. Did they hear this when they finished and think "a little 90s bon jovi cheese ha awesome" or did they think "shit is hot fire we sound intense" I wonder.

Perhaps you need to have kids and be desperately wanting to like this song also.

Yeah, I don't know. This song is really coming close to treading the territory of the montonous sounds of modern day cock rock. I'm talking Nickleback here. I hate it.

You can wash out any earhole with this blues. Fricken love Lightnin Hopkins. Take it to my Blues Thread that everyone decided to ignore in OB.
