Yes. The story is clearly framed as Homer "overcoming his immaturity" and "doing the right thing" by picking the serious movie

Oh, I forgot to mention. This week's opening was all Christmas-y but it wasn't a Christmas episode. That's this week, I wonder if they'll have another themed opening?
