Most of them from around this time were about the same length.

Using setlist length as a yardstick, the longest pre-1995 show seems to be the Atlanta show which is the subject of this thread with 26 individual songs played. There's a handful of shows that tour that are around 24-25 songs (give or take an improv) but that's the only with 26.

The longest pre-1994 show is (I believe) the Greek Theatre, Berkeley, CA show on 31 October 1993 with 22 individual songs played.

A new remaster is debuting on PJ Radio today. I’m unsure if this is another Josh Evans project.

Looking forward to hearing the remaster. I maintain that I'd put this show can compete with any other bands "best show" from their prime.

Not a vault, but part of their "regular bootleg series." I guess that means no vinyl.

I could be confusing this show with another one but, didn't Eddie make radio station mentions during this show? Have all of those mentions been edited out? I haven't heard any yet.

The only time I remember him doing that is one of the 2003 Irvine shows - at least I think that's right.

There's definitely an instance from this era too. I remember him mentioning that they stopped airing it before the last few songs. He also mentioned that it was being aired at the beginning of the show. He also referenced the call sign multiple signs.

So...what do I do with my Dissident single (the 3
volume set that includes most of the show)?

Doesn't Eddie mention JJJ during the Melbourne 3/5/98 show?

I don't think I need another version of Atlanta '94 -- between my "Dissident" set, the soundboard remaster, and the version etched on the back of my brain from having heard it so many times, I can probably do without this one.

Ah, see - that's my fault.

When I say "vault" I'm talking about general boots they release on nugs and CD - not the "vault series".

I kinda forgot there was a distinction.

I don't object to them releasing this of course, but it's a huge waste of time if it means a long gap before the next one.

They've been doing that a lot lately.

Hopefully they have others planned!

I'll be disappointed if this indicates Josh Evans is going to be mixing future archival releases instead of Brett Eliason.

Evans' mixes of the live stuff don't land for me - they sound kind of overhyped, Eliason's sound more natural.

In the shop it is now listed as Vault 11. I don't know at this point and neither do they.

He mentioned the radio broadcast during the 3/17/95 show in Melbourne; right before “Corduroy” I think.

Yeah, 100%. Listening to the Seattle '93 vault from last year recently and it sounds amazing; relaxed and clear and just juicy enough. Natural is a great word for it.

In contrast, this new Atlanta remix from same period just isn't doing anything for me. Obviously everything is there in the mix, it just doesn't hang together in a way that's at all pleasing. Gonna have to dig out the original pre-fm source which iirc is actually a tad overly sweet. Brett could have really tightened this up nicely.

They've been doing a terrible job with the vault releases anyway no matter who mixes them.

Soldier Field has all of the treble completely rolled off, and is possibly one of the worst masterings I've ever heard on a live release. It's sub-bootleg garbage.

Either the mastering engineer was monitoring through nothing but tweeters, the wrong master was accidentally used or there was severe mental retardation involved.
