“I think it’s possible you could see a vaccine in people’s arms next year — by the middle or end of next year. But this is unprecedented, so it’s hard to predict,” said Dr. Paul Offit, a professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Offit spent 26 years developing a vaccine for rotavirus, a common and dangerous childhood gastrointestinal illness, before it was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2006. He said vaccine development typically takes decades, but that efforts to counter COVID-19 are being fast-tracked by scientists, drug companies and nations — rallied by the World Health Organization — to meet the threat posed by the coronavirus, which has killed hundreds of thousands and decimated economies across the globe.
Offit who has been making vaccines for over 30 years couldn't predict it would go that fast. How many lies did Trump tell in the last 4 years? 2000+? He got lucky on one, so we're supposed to believe he's a miracle worker?

Him being right about that is the same as that dumb fuck Republican bringing a snowball into Congress in May as proof that climate warming is a hoax.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I dunno where this even belongs, but it relates to the rona, so..

So our Governor closed the bars and indoor dining again for a month.. but over the summer his regulations were ruled unconstitutional in a federal court case

However, on September 14, 2020, U.S. District Judge William Stickman IV of the Western District of Pennsylvania ruled that certain restrictions imposed by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and his administration were unconstitutional. Specifically, Judge Stickman declared that the congregate gathering limitations imposed by Governor Wolf in an Executive Order violated the First Amendment’s right to free assembly. He further found violations of the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process and Equal Protection clauses in the now lifted stay-at-home and business closure components of certain Executive Orders.

My question is.. with the federal unconstitutional ruling.. how is another shutdown even a consideration?? Is there some sort of federal vs state law loophole that im missing??

Being serious, confused on all of this

You think the journalists and reports write the headlines? I doubt it.

I guess you're technically right, but judging journalism by headlines is like judging RM by the user avatars and ranks. You'll get an accurate portrayal of Sarge and no one else.

Not sure, how many dead infants would suffice your skepticism that it's all overblown?

Child deaths are very very low, so I guess my reaction to that meme would be that the baby with covid would look pretty normal.

As of Dec 7 children were 0.00%-0.23% of all COVID-19 deaths, and 15 states reported zero child deaths.

Kind of seems like your meme is just pointless fear mongering stickbot

That picture doesn't say anything about kids dying from Covid.

Maybe it’s a baby who’s really sick but’ll pull through. That’s still horrible; stop sugggesting that only dying from this matters.

In the US health care system, anything is possible. You should look up covid long termers btw.
