I agree with any feeling that says kicking those people who worked to exacerbate the situation to the front of the line is an injustice....but as a policy it does make sense that government leadership be prioritized.
Fauci and his team made it clear early on that masks were ineffective. Clearly we need to do a better job washing our hands, and the administration should prioritize that public outreach message.
Who can even guess what this means
Lot of bad messaging that went on. You think its untoward that Trump and his ilk get the jab early.
Fauci and his ilk agreed with you about masks early on. Heck, they (and you) may very well be correct unless they are N95 or equivalent.
Of course we never significantly increased N-95 output at a commiserate level, for reasons.

N95 is a totally different story but I see next to nobody wearing those, just spit covered cotton face diapers.

Fascinating, but what I said was that it’s good policy to prioritize government leadership when there’s a vaccine available.simple schoolboy wrote:Lot of bad messaging that went on. If I, by including in that statement an acknowledgement that this administration’s response made things worse than they had to be, compelled you to need a “whatabout” post...maybe ask why.

Again, no one ever said masks would eradicate the virus all on their own. Stop being so obtuse, you’re embarrassing yourself.verb_to_trust wrote:"Masks are better than nothing"spike wrote:explain the results of this studyverb_to_trust wrote:Masks don't work

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
This nearly year long thread that started with an ominous tweet from McParadigm is wrapping up with a classic spike/verb to-and-fro on the subject of masks. Who could have predicted it?

Okay, why? There's nothing about Covid that incapacitates a non-high risk person's mental capacity (for 99.99999% of the healthy popluation). For the average person it is the flu. If Biden was mentally incapacitated for two weeks the world will not end. There is plenty of protocol to address this should it ever come to pass.McParadigm wrote:Fascinating, but what I said was that it’s good policy to prioritize government leadership when there’s a vaccine available. ...maybe ask why.
The only reason I can see to give it to government leadership early is if you think they are incapable of following the CDC guidelines to not spread it. Wear a mask, virtual meetings. Adapt to the circumstances.
Their jobs may be more important than mine but they aren't. They are absolutely replaceable, and in fact we go through a formal process to do that (replace them). We can handle an informal process just as easily. Far too often we accept leaders setting up rules that don't apply to them. Fuck that shit. Biden, you say you're healthy, so wait inline until it is time for someone in your risk factor to get the vaccine. Same for every other government leader.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

i only agree with this because we just spent almost 4 years with a president who was incapacitated for the entire timesurfndestroy wrote:Okay, why?
