But I think the most mundane but famous sporting event I ever witnessed was May 23, 1999 - Ballpark in Arlington.

Orioles routed the Rangers 15-6 on Sunday Night Baseball. Cal Ripken, Jr. had a double.

I still call this one "famous" because it was during Cal's historic streak.

Twins/Tigers game 163.
It was the last time the Twins won at the Metrodome as well.
I was also in the building for my alma mater’s first two hockey national championships.

Besides this I was also at game 1 of the 2018 World Series. And of course who can forget the Red Sox 2006 Patriots Day morning game when Mark Loretta hit a walk-off home run over the Green Monster against "Everyday" Eddie Guardado of the Seattle Mariners.

Also the 2019 Red Sox home opener. They got their rings from 2018 before losing to the Blue Jays in an awful Chris Sale start.

Not much for me. A Roy Halladay 10-inning complete game was probably the coolest thing I've seen. And Manny Ramirez hitting one into the 5th deck at the Skydome.

Ugh... I had never been to a baseball playoff game before, so when the Jays made it in 2015, I had Game 5 tickets in my cart, then decided to switch the one of the first three games to make sure I got to go, since there was no guarantee it would go to five. Turns out the game we went to was a loss and Game 5 was the Bautista bat flip game.

Went to a Ravens-Bears game in 2017 in which there were TD's scored on a kickoff return, punt return, interception return, and a running back threw a touchdown pass.

The best game was the 2010 Pinstripe Bowl. Syracuse beat Kansas State 36-34.

I was in attendance for a big Mets comeback win vs. the Braves in 2000. It's still replayed as a Mets classic to this day.

How crazy would it have been to see India all out for 36 a few days ago? Josh Hazlewood's 5-8 was the most economical five-wicket haul by an Australian in 73 years.

Amazing. I was listening on the radio. If we include cricket then pretty much everything that happened at the SCG between 1992-2006.

But this one was truly amazing:

That Aussie team was just ridiculous. So many killers. I wish I could have seen Warnie and McGrath bowl.

They were phenomenal. Like the All Blacks throughout that period. It's a shame there weren't too many NZ tours during that period too.

Other highlights at the SCG:
Brian Lara hitting 277
Steve Waugh getting his century on the last ball of the day
Darren Gough hattrick
SA vs Eng rain controversy during semi final in 92

Rugby wise I saw a NZ/Aus match in the 80s but I don't remember it at all.
