Don't know if Mando S3 is leading up to, running concurrently with, or airing after the Fett event series, but, there are unquestionably two distinct shows. Mando isn't going anywhere.

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

I'm not the hugest fan of Carano's acting in this show, but that scene on the elevator with the jammed gun was hilarious.

Yeah this season of the Mandalorian has really confirmed for me how much I was unhappy with the sequels.
Imagine Mando taking Poe’s place in the sequels. That could have been amazing. Maybe not as a mandalore bounty hunter anymore but a full rebelion warrior. One that knows the force, Luke.

Jesus that’s the sequel I wanted

Imagine anyone other than Rey & Kylo having even the slightest hint of a properly constructed story arc in the sequel trilogy.

There were a few sites kicking that around before the Disney investor's call, but, there are, apparently, two separate shows.
Boba has been filming a limited event series for a bit now, and, word is Mando will kick back up in a month or so, at least according to Starwarsnews.net.

Incredible finale, but
Spoiler: show
how can they not do a better job with the de-aged Luke at this point? The deep fakes on youtube are incredible. This is a show with a multimillion dollar budget and the lips still don't match the dialogue. That said, watching him tear it up the same way Vader did at the end of Rogue One was extremely satisfying.

Yes it wasn’t the best use of cgi. I thought they did better with Luke in last Jedi when he projected himself. Granted they didn’t need to make him look as young...

But amazing nonetheless. When Luke force crushed the dark trooper. Shit. I want more.

That was awesome. I did want a little more action out of the rest of the crew though. Might have been cool to have them fighting half of the dark troopers when Luke arrived

So, I guess Kylo Ren killed Grogu?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Grogu seems old enough to be out of Luke´s academy by the time Kylo arrives.

Unless Luke did. Do we really think Kylo was the first student he tried to ice?

Yes yes yes yes!
Spoiler: show
I was hoping it would end like this and it did. I can’t believe we saw Post -ROTJ Luke Skywalker being a Jedi

That is the kind of stuff lacking from the ST.

Holy cow. When you see the X-wing fly by on the screen. You knew it.

I really don’t care about the Mandalorian lore. I like theMando character and what he was doing protecting Grogu but jeez the exposition about dark saber and Mando stuff...bleh

But give me Luke being Luke and rescuing them and the child and promising to train him. And R2!

IMHO, Star Wars isn’t really anything without the core characters from Epi 4 -6. I think with the length of time between ROTJ and TFA (in real life as well as on screen) hindered some of the story they could tell. I don’t want to see Luke a failure and Han and Leia failures. I want to see this postROTJ Luke doing what he can to restore good to the galaxy.
Only thing missing was some OT music.

What an ending.
