Well, after several listens I might like right before the solo the best. Whew....that fucking voice.

Backspacer
S/T
Your lack of love for S/T is saddening, sir.
S/T might overtake Backspacer, if only because, well... this. It's making Backspacer seem insignificant to say the least. I only put it there because I enjoy it all the way through even though I don't love anything on it. S/T is a very patchy listen. I only like half of it really.

I know it's off topic but what do you like off S/T? I think it's pretty solid.

Are you listening to the video version? The dropped the second Sirens from that.
Yeah, the video version is cut. That might actually account for Matt's out-of-time kablam.

No, but that's a good excuse for me to give it another play.

Everything is between "OK" and "really good", up to and including "Gone". Everything else I find bland and boring.

Even Army Reserve? That's a great song. As an aside I saw them perform it at Turin (apologies if time befuddles the memory) and Stone and Jeff sang the most awesome background vocals during the chorus. One of my favourite PJ live moments :)

I get why people like Army Reserve but it does nothing for me.

It might click years down the line, who knows.

Generally I don't like Ed's song-writing style across the album, with a few exceptions. And then Mike writes the last one :shake:

Inside Job is definitely better live - I saw a nice darker version in Chicago that really changed my mind on the song.
