Yes, the production is definitely less glossy.harmless wrote:Dugg wrote:I gotta say that after driving around with the new songs I kinda like the piano in these songs. And the production. We'll see if it changes on the final product. Either way it's miles better than BS for me.
I also really like the way they're playing around with song structure on LB, Sirens and even MYM.

All those who have been asking "Where is Stone?"on this album ...well he is all over this tune. Playing individual lead lines throughout the song the same way he plays on many Brad songs. Ed may have aced the vocals but Stones melodic leads carry this song as well.

Is Jeff wearing a Lightning Bolt shirt in the video? Wow, this really is his record (except that its not, it's the most Ed record since Vitalogy).

He's worn that shirt in a few band shots and I think also at Wrigley. It's cool.Dugg wrote:Is Jeff wearing a Lightning Bolt shirt in the video? Wow, this really is his record (except that its not, it's the most Ed record since Vitalogy).

Re: New Song (9.19.13): Sirens
Im continually being blown away by this video. I am loving what Stone is doing with this song. The tremolo and the slide, the delay...
Ament and Cameron are killing it and the way Cameron is building the song to these wonderful crescendos...
I get total fanboi when they all step up to the mic and lend their vocals to it all....

Holy shit. You know that feeling you get from some Pearl Jam songs? Where the hairs on your neck actually stand up? Well, when I see Mike changing guitars and rip into that solo I get that feeling. And when Ed nails the high notes? There it is again. And when everyone is singing at the end? I can't help but smile.
I love that my favorite band is still releasing music that makes me feel this way.

When will we get the 5 typical selections for this poll, so that I can just vote for "hate it" already?
