I dont think enough was fleshed out from our three main characters. And, i think that is because of the shit show of a finale. Yes, i was entertained, had a blast, but I believe we all agree that episode 9 was far too bloated and rushed.

God I really wish Rian was able to finish up the trilogy.

TFA barely kept me interested. As soon as TLJ opened up with "yes, I'm on hold for general hux?", it was all downhill for me from there.

I was legit more excited and pleased with a Star Wars movie that didn't have a Jedi in it and a series that had a cute AF green feature than I was the sequels. SAD!

I worked in a national newspaper for several years.

When I left the role I said yeah I’m done with that.

And now people are asking me why I said that and how dare I say that.

Interesting interview with Boyega in GQ. "The reordered character hierarchy of The Last Jedi was particularly hard to take. -Like, you guys knew what to do with Daisy Ridley, you knew what to do with Adam Driver, he says, -you, knew what to to do with these other people, but when it came to Kelly Marie Tran, when it came to John Boyega, you know fuck all. (...) They gave all the nuance to Adam Driver, all the nuance to Daisy Ridley. Let's be honest. Daisy knows this. Adam knows this. Everybody knows. I'm not exposing anything. What I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. (...) He is also talking about other people of colour in the cast - even Oscar Isaac (a brother from Guatemala) - who he feels suffered the same treatment. "

About JJ Abrams: "Everybody needs to leave my boy alone. He wasn't even supposed to come back and try to save your shit."

Details of Lucas plan for the sequels have emerged. Taken from the Prequels Archives books

I’m sure it would have needed a lot of work, and good people helping. But it would have been better with him more involved.

How will the sequels stand the test of time? Will they be considered an inprovement on the prequels?

No, they're worse than the prequels. The prequels have a lot of flaws, but at least they have a unified vision. The sequels are just a cynical cash grab.

i think they will be remembered as better in some aspects, the visual one being the main one i guess. They brought Rey and Kylo, which are good characters even if they didnt quite know what to do with them.

Script wise, they are already pointed out as the weakest of the bunch.
