Re: Superblood Wolfmoon
I didnt liked it when it came out as a single...i thought it was ok, a better sounding song that could have been on LB or Backspacer. With due time, and in the context of the album, its one of those i really want or need to hear. And the band is so fucking tight, the structure is so fucking wild..i love it.
And Cready melts my face everytime.

When I first heard this song, it absolutely demolished the positive outlook I had for the rest of the album after the excitement around Dance of the Clairvoyants. It was a violent crash back to reality.

Similar for me. I was underwhelmed at first. But it grew on me, especially in the full context of the album.VinylGuy wrote:I didnt liked it when it came out as a single...i thought it was ok, a better sounding song that could have been on LB or Backspacer. yeah, and i appreciate more what they were doing in the song. The structure, Matt, the groove...Ed´s delivery. It took me a while to get there but once i clicked i wanted to hear this one every time.epilogue wrote:Similar for me. I was underwhelmed at first. i hope this one ends up wailing dirty live rather than sounding like alarm clock speakers like sometimes the new ones do when they debut (Getaway looking in your direction)

A fine table you have here too. All subject to lapses of taste though. And lapses in counting.epilogue wrote:See that LMS, our table sits FOUR.Higgs wrote:My people.epilogue wrote:VinylGuy wrote:such a good song

I like this song fine. Works better in the context of the album than as a standalone song. Still a weird choice for the second single.

Agreed Weird choice for 2nd single. I certainly do Love this one.Monkey_Driven wrote:I like this song fine. Works better in the context of the album than as a standalone song. Still a weird choice for the second single.
“love not withstanding we are each of us fucked”
Such a cool line.
The intro and the first verse are the weakest part of the song.
Then it kind of goes into overdrive.
