Everyone had me so freaked out that this song was going to be horrendous... or at least that I would need at least 10 listens before I could stomach it... No way, first listen... "Oh ok, this isn't bad... Actually this is pretty good."

Just watched the video for the first time too... Fuckin' killer! I can't even believe I'm saying this, because 10 years ago I'd be flaming PJ for writing a song like this... but c'mon, this just feels like the perfect timing for PJ to pull out a beauty like this... I am totally surprised that I'm enjoying so thoroughly right from the start...
I was worried about Sirens being an album flow killer, but now I'm starting to think that LB will be quite special

I respect that they fully went for it this time. Didnt shy away from it. Didnt make it artsy. Fully committed and it paid off. Unlike most of backspacer.
I'm telling you people, the live and studio versions are night and day different. I actually don't mind the live version in the video (although I still find the solo cringe worthy and totally unnecessary).

I didn't mean subtle differences, I was really referring to the overall quality of the song. The studio is just too polished and over the top.

J Todd Crosby Love, the guitar solo and after instrumental is reminiscent of a huge GNR type ballet. I can picture it live with a full orchestra!

yeah, the slightly dirtier live version helps a lot, although the flac version still ends up sounding a bit less polished compared to what we have yesterday

I agree. Might as well go all in.

I've been too lazy to download the FLAC version. Is it worth it or should I just wait for the pre-ordered album to be delivered by the 10C in my front lawn 25 feet away from my mailbox 17 days after the release date?
