Just finished this and it's definitely disappointing. Parts of this look bad; other parts are ridiculous, even for a comic book movie. There were some fun moments. It's not the worst superhero movie I've ever seen, but I can't imagine I'll ever watch any part of this ever again.

And as mentioned by others, the Chris Pine situation is just bizarre.

I finished it. Real bad. The action scenes are all so fucking clumsy, and Pedro Pascal is just unbearable in this. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine are wonderful together and their chemistry is one of the few good things about this movie. I also enjoyed the creative uses of the lasso of truth. The big climax was so cheesy and ridiculous, and Cheetah looked like she was about to start singing about what the jellicles do.

I thought it was fun if flawed. They really could have cut the first half hour. It's always cool to see Themyscira but I'm not sure it added anything to the narrative and the mall scene didn't work at all. They could have trimmed some of the world in chaos scenes and some of the fish out of water Steve stuff too they both got repetitive. Pine was excellent though. The movie should have started with the artifact getting delivered to the museum with a few lines of exposition.

I actually liked the Egypt, White House and Cheetah fight sequences. There was a moment where Gal in full Wonder Woman regalia is walking away after the fight in Egypt and I thought how is she pulling this off but she did. I don't think any actor has inhabited a comic book superhero role as well since Christopher Reeve. Her

talking down Max
instead of punching him out was very Wonder Woman. The firework and flying scenes were really nice.

I doubt the movie would hold up to any level of scrutiny I had to completely turn my brain off whenever I started to wonder about the guy Steve was inhabiting or why that plane was full of fuel and able to fly back and forth from Eygpt or did everyone really take back their wish. The stinger scene would have probably been more useful giving a better resolution to Cheetah.

there was some super weird moments with her jumping or flying and a super cheesy background. That happened twice i think during that scene.

I didn't last more than 25 mins before I turned this one off; pretty terrible but then again I thought the first one was pretty overrated. I'm still interested in seeing the new cut of Justice League though.

While admitting that Cheetah wasn't used to her fullest, and my previously mentioned misgivings about the disregard for that guy that Trevor was inhabiting, I liked this movie. It was a lot of fun, and Gadot acts out these ridiculous comic book plotlines and clichés extremely well.

Solid B.

Most movies that are popular and many of us see get their own thread. What's your game here? Why does Tenet have it's own thread? Or Interstellar? Or jupiter ascending?

This was terrible. I really liked the first one and generally like DC super hero movies. I was excited for this and pumped my kids up for it. But about 2/3 into this one, I had the urge to take a nap and that’s what I did. Don’t care to even finish it.

I’m confused.

Is this movie popular, or does everybody hate it?

Here's some hot takes from my 14 year old son.

"Do you think WW84 is the best DC movie ever b/c it was so good?"

"It was like a billion times better than Batman v Superman." <-- This may not be wrong, but he's never seen BvS.

"The first Wonder Woman was so bad because it was boring."

Lots of flaws but I thought it had enough good stuff to make it a thumbs up for me. I loved Pascal.

The lack of 80s music aside from the beginning was strange.

Cheetah was pretty rough.

I loved the opening sequence in Themyscira.
