Snell is really good and a huge add for SD, but they also paid a huge price to do it. I definitely wouldn't have been happy with the Jays paying the equivalent price.

It looks like the Padres are officially Going For It. Makes some sense, I think, since the LAD can just go on reloading every year, and their young core isn't going to be cost-controlled forever (Tatis gets arb after 2022 at just 23, for example). More news:
