I like that they're using Fitz in a relief role. You never know what you're going to get. If you're going to lose anyway, might as well throw him in and see if something magical happens. I still like starting Tua and still believe in him. Not a great game but I know he'll learn and improve.

wondering if they need to put fitz in there when they need to open up the playbook more and get vertical to get back into games. might be beyond tua's learning curve rn.

I think it has a lot to do with lack of open receivers and Fitz's ability/tendency to take chances and throw guys open. It's something Tua hasn't had to do in his career in college and will have to learn, and I know he will. Fitz loves them 50/50 balls. It's why he can have a great game one week and a terrible game riddled with INTs the next. I'm willing to bet Fitz makes his own play calls and/or audibles a lot, which is why the play calling seems so different.

Even if there is still a small question mark about Tua, it seems the Dolphins are building a nice foundation. No one can doubt the strength/effectiveness of the Patriots coaching staff (top to bottom) and now we have one of their best at the helm. And now it really does look like a much better coached team. No matter what happens next week or in the playoffs (if they get there), I feel like this team is ahead of schedule and has me excited for the future in ways I haven’t felt in past years.

This is not good. He just wasn't seeing the field. I hope he can figure it out soon. If this is how he's going to play, Fitz should start. I hope when Tua does start this game he's on a short leash and they pull him quickly if they see he can't make basic reads.

Yikes. That video was definitely not what I was hoping to see. On the bright side if Tennessee beats Houston on Sunday, Miami gets the 3rd overall pick.

I'm disappointed. Sometimes he looks really good. Maybe something was going on with him.. but JFC he should be able to make those basic reads by now. I don't know. Maybe they do end up going with another QB as high as 3rd overall. I bet they could get something good in a Tua trade.

I think fitz should be in there for a couple reasons..

At this minute in time, hes by far the better qb n gives the best chances of winning

This is gonna shatter tuas confidence.. its like he's playing on pins n needles with a backup looking over his shoulder.. it gives the feeling that you better play perfect (which trust me, sucks)

It gives Ryan Fitzpatrick the playoff run his career deserves

I'm trying really hard to wait until after the season to pass judgement on Tua. I will admit that on Saturday night I had a lot to drink and had some pretty strong opinions at halftime, though. It seems very clear, though, that Fitzy gives Miami the best chance to win right now.

He just didn't make good reads and played way too conservatively. Also, I love his personality but his hard-core Christianity annoys me. Gotta think a Harvard genius like Fitz is a fellow atheist, so that gives him the edge for me right now.
