I just heard this atrocity on a pop radio station on my drive home this evening. This is an example of male indie girl voice. I dare you to listen to it.

I feel the pop music landscape has moved away from the likes of Sam Smith. Who are the biggest male pop singers right now? The Weeknd, Post Malone? They don't really do "the voice" do they? And then you've got the reggaetoneros like Bad Bunny who do something else entirely

OK on second listen now that I know that they are Australian I guess maybe not. But that’s funny because apparently indy girl voice Is pretty similar to an Australian accent

Australian accents are great! But when an American is talking all normal and then sings like they're Australian it's stupid and annoying.
