This guy I used to know posted this on Facebook
I vowed never to watch the last Star Wars movie.
I broke that vow last night.
I wish I hadn't. Every critique confirmed that movie was like a fan-pandering blowjob from a homeless ewok inside a trash compactor set afire.
Han Solo comes back to try and console/redeem his son, who murdered him. How is not even worth the WHY.
The whole mythic virtue of the original series goes to die inside this awkward poorly built coffin, then they botch the funeral by making it into a zombie christmas parade of non-sequiturs that fail so miserably that as the credits began to roll, I gave the darkening TV screen the middle finger in spite.
If I ever see either of the two directors culpable for this ratched miscarriage of the Star Wars mythos, I'll bitch slap them across their faces for insulting us collectively with that grotesque dud bomb. Harrison Ford should've had some integrity when handed the script and said "fuck off with that". That was not the ONLY horrid botch job in the film, butni dont wanna waste any more time on it, as I'm sure you already know how many piss-poor choices the writing/directing teams are culpable for. They should be put on trial for obscenity.
and yeah I agree with him that Rise of Skywalker is a bad movie but I can't comprehend getting this angry about Star Wars

Its not better than Endgame. I would say its better than Thor 2, Ant Man and Dr Strange. But those three really suck.

You're all turned around.

This movie and Doctor Strange are both way better than Endgame.

Imagine how that dragon must have felt opening night, when he found out they’d replaced his voice in post with (not that BBC Sherlock guy but the other BBC Sherlock guy).

They wouldn't have replaced his voice if he hadn't leaked that Legolas is Borimir's real father or whatever.
