I'm about to compare 2 different albums here, so I hope it makes sense, but I don't hear thin production in MYM. I hear thin production in Got Some. I think MYM holds up fine coming out of Getaway.

The riff in MYM.
What is that? Are those guitars?
Is that the 'guitar' effect on a synthesizer?
Why are the stops so clean?

Put on a mediocre Youtube soundclip of 'Ace of Spades' and you can hear guitars playing.
Back to 'lossless' MYM - and it doesn't even compare.

Even LTRP has more convincing guitars than MYM, and that's not quite right. I don't have so much problem with the stops, that's been a feature of punk for ages.
