Re: Election 2020
PA Senate livestream is really something just now.
https://www.pasen.gov/Video/SenateVideo.cfm
Edit: Over now.
Basically, the Republican majority Senate refused to seat a Democratic state senator (Jim Brewster) whose election was certified by the state. Their reasoning was that the election is in dispute (the defeated opponent in this case is protesting the acceptance of mail in ballots...a decision the state Supreme Court has already ruled on).
When the state's Lt Governor insisted that all the elected senators be sworn in, the Republican caucus voted to remove him as presiding officer. Then, they voted to recognize the election in **every senate contest except for Brewster’s.**
Chaos and yelling ensued.

Just saw a line of like 30 police vehicles on the Beltway with their lights on, but not blinking. Some kind of Trump support thing?

So their argument is Brewster was the only one who the boogeyman mail in ballots benefited? These people are morons.McParadigm wrote:PA Senate livestream is really something just now.

I try to stay away from absolutism and maintain room for nuance... But with everything going on it's getting harder and harder to see it any other way.McParadigm wrote:PA Senate livestream is really something just now.

Trump accidentally refers to Kelly Loeffler as ‘Karen’ and says he ‘LOVES’ QAnon Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene at rally

Best I can tell, Perdue and Loeffler are running slightly behind Trump in margin. We’re up to 107 counties that have reported 95 percent or more of their expected vote, and if you total up the votes in those places, Trump won them by 25.7 points in November. But Perdue is only up 25.3 points in those places and Loeffler is up 24.8 points. Plenty of votes left to count, but that’s not what the GOP wants, especially as many of these are Republican-leaning places.

Joe Biden realizing he won’t be able to count on senate deadlock to protect him from enacting a policy set
