This would be funny except for it being real.

Much like those that claimed right wing agitators were responsible for most of the arson over the summer, some conservatives are claiming those at the capitol are actually antifa in disguise. They're pointing out the funny looking people with unkempt beards and what have you.

Turns out if you are willing to engage in street violence like this, you tend to be far more chaotic than the average person. These sorts of events are magnets for weirdos, regardless of political orientation. Its probably not good for the weirdos to 'win' these sorts of altercations, they already have more than enough encouragement.

Maybe the real person of the year for 2020 was the garbage human being.

Only 1 person shot dead so far. Just think of the death count if they were black.

These people are probably all on the back the blue bullshit, and they're out there pepper spraying them. Unreal.

“I think it’s the most shocking failure of security imaginable to place the Congress of the United States at physical risk in an occupied congressional chamber because they weren’t prepared to deal with it,” Ret. Gen. Barry McCaffrey said Wednesday

No shit, how was this allowed to happen?

when you see that many people pushing up the steps and loitering around, you need to have a large group of security officers / national guard standing by inside and out. They could have avoided the incursion.

makes you wonder how prepared they really are for any kind of attack. If a right wing mob busted through so easily.

Specially after that shitshow of a speaker vote. There were rules constraints on that, but presumably less so on this (or more flexibility possible when the alternate was sharing a chamber with 'quarantined' members).

These things have the effect of reinforcing the walls between rulers and the citizens. Patriot Acts are being justified. The cage is closing.

Worst thing was the lack of police/security inside. Could easily have been handled.
