am i the only one who's oddly underwhelmed by the events of the day? the whole thing was completely predictable. the only way I'd be surprised if they actually did invoke the 25th and/or impeachment in the final weeks of his presidency, but everything since election day has otherwise played out just a bit more peaceful than I had imagined.

Predictable? It's the first time the capital building was "taken" in over 200 years.

People have been hurt on Wednesday and a great symbol of our republic desecrated. That’s not freedom of speech: it’s the work of thugs, mindless cretins who stride to the presiding officer’s chair in a chamber emptied by violence so they can mug for selfies.
