Gifts given to the President by foreign leaders or dignitaries are considered property of the United States. Whenever a President leaves office, they are allowed to request items and the GSA assesses the price and the former President is allowed to purchase them.

Can you imagine having to go through that process with Trump? It's going to be a nightmare.
