I didn't see any reports about injuried getting taken out on gurneys except for the dead lady. Anyone speculate as to what happened?
He’s now passed away.
Elsewhere I read that he suffered from a stroke. Whether that was trauma related was not clear.
"Brown's dead. We don't know what happened to Blue."

"Mr. Brown's dead? Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. I was there. He took one in the head."

"Nobody's got a clue what happened to Mr. Blue?"

"Either he's alive or he's dead. Or the cops got him or they don't."

Do I understand correctly that the entirety of the Senate was evacuated, but all but the House leadership was left in the House chamber?

Gotta keep rubbing in the House's junior status, regardless the circumstances.

As it should be: if you want access to the tunnels, get elected to a real seat, or at the very least a proper comittee chair-ship, nerds.

Arrest was the right course of action for a praying preacher?

What if was two pastors? Four? Forty? A hundred Muslims rolling out prayer rugs?

If they gave him a lawful order to leave the property, yes it makes someone subject to arrest. Poor optics in case (as eliciting the arrest in the Capitol so it can be videotaped was obviously the point), but you always comply with law enforcement first and sue later. Remember in GoT when Cersei didn’t show up for her trial? Right before being vaporized Margery made the point clearly that Cersei understood what would happen and actively chose that outcome, thus it must provide a significant benefit to her. Same shit here.

Maybe they should move barricades out of their way and pose with them for selfies.

You could argue they let them all in. To them lock them all in.
Let the crowd outside disperse.
My real question is why they each weren’t arrested on the way out?

By the time they walked out the FBI had arrived (probably other federal law enforcement). You present a great question.

Usually, if someone dies during the commission of a crime, all of the people involved with the commission of that crime are charged in that persons death.

So, now that 5 people are dead, it will be interesting to see if anyone is charged with at the very least the death of the police officer.

I don't know if I heard it here or on twitter, but Trump signed an executive order in June jacking up the penalties for damaging federal property to try and protect the Confederate statues. Now all of this supporters are going to have to face those harsher penalties, which can include 10 years in prison.

Wait wait it gets better!
She then served in the Air Force Reserves and the Air National Guard. In the Guard, she was assigned to a unit based near Washington that is known as the “Capital Guardians,” because one of their primary missions is defending the city. Security forces in the squadron regularly train with riot shields and clubs for what the Air Force calls “civil disturbance missions.”

So I barely skimmed that ny times article, where I think you're quoting from. One thing that stands out to me is that she served 14 years, and left as a senior airman, which is an E-4. Usually, if someone has served that long in the Air Force, they'd have at minimum made it to E-5 (Non-Commissioned Officer) or above. Sounds like she had a troubled military career, which could've lead to being so radicalized.

idk. I'm sure there's way more to it, but that part really stands out to me.

If that's true, then yes she had some issues. I made it to senior airman in 3 years.
