Its almost safer to reflexively oppose the ACLU these days, so now I must reconsider my position.

They might as well merge with NYT at this point. They've both adjusted their role to chase after the same donors/ subscribers. They could save on overhead if they reduced redundant administration.

The populist right doesn't really have the same libertarian love for corporations that neocons do. I wish people knew the difference...and would stop with that tired argument.

Probably too much to hope for, but if US social media tech ends up irrelevant outside the US, that would be a fitting resolution.
