It's incredible how blissfully unaware people are to the coming social credit system. It's not even on the radar. Though in truth, I suspect a lot of people are aware, they just think they or their representative will be in control of the levers (good luck with that.)
The brutal truth of it is that it will happen gradually enough that most of the masses will never know it happened.

Why? It's easy to see how that could be used to hinder political enemies.
The only reason to ever bar someone for voting or running for office is to subvert democracy. It's incredibly stupid that either are punishments for crimes.
