For me, it's the more successful younger brother of Speed of Sound. I just keep thinking about how that pre-chorus reminds me of SoS. But SoS didn't have as much going for it...

Hell, I would argue that Sirens has more substance to it than a song like Betterman. And even though this is brand new territory for them, at the end of the day, or at least after about 10 listens, this sounds like Pearl Jam to me.

I do understand that people have an are entitled to different views/rankings. I simply think the "AMOUNT" of preference for Riot Act (HERE) over other albums is due (in many cases) to a herd mentality and nothing more. t.

I've only watched it twice. I love everything else but Matt Cameron puts me off.

Something just dawned on me... Sirens is almost 6 mins long, yet it feels kinda short.
That's about the best compliment you can give a song. It might have to do with the arrangement, but I think that's part of the reason why I am enjoying this song.

I'll often get turned off when songs feel too long, and I will say that sirens does not feel like a 6 minute song.
