Seriously, that's why you think Aussie is doing as well as it is. Not because it is geographically isolated, sparsely populated with a generally warm climate and your government had the good sense to stop international travel. Not to sound like Verb but money does not stop a virus from spreading. It helps you pay rent and put food on the table, and that has nothing to do with stopping a virus.

I’ve been fortunate that I haven’t needed the COVID relief checks to survive. They have helped pay off a few small credit cards from Christmas and stash some in savings.

But they should have looked into the small check that went out at regular intervals, instead of one big check in the spring., then nothing for 6 months, then another 600 (1400?) right now.
