Do no collectors have an opinion about this? I feel like leaving it in the shrink wrap is worse for the jacket then if I opened it.B wrote:Hey, I have a question ...
I picked up a purple Ten at Target. I don't need to listen to it. Maybe it's a collectible for me, but I'll probably just hold it for a long time and eventually sell it.
If that's the case, is it better to leave it in the shrink wrap or should I go ahead and open it?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I have no idea what the vinyl collection rules are.B wrote:Do no collectors have an opinion about this? I feel like leaving it in the shrink wrap is worse for the jacket then if I opened it.B wrote:Hey, I have a question ...

I don't want to buy your purple Ten. But if I did, I can't imagine shrink wrap or not would affect how much I wanted to spend to have it.

FWIW, even the after-market price of the purple Ten is just the sticker price right now; it doesn't seem to be very limited. Not to say that the value will not go up in the future, but it's not terribly in demand at the moment.

I would have paid a bit more if my OP Binaural were still shrink wrapped and never opened.

Maybe shrink wrap will pull in a sucker a couple years from now.

The self-released Protomartyr live record arrived this week and sounds killer (despite a pretty gnarly warp).

Having a devil of a time with U-Turn's drive belts lately. First one wore out (granted, after 3+ years) and became too loose to stay on the platter. Most recent one lasted only a few months before snapping. Hopefully third time's the charm?

The Binaural OP interrogation is one of the funniest exchanges in RM history. Good shit, trag.
