Impeachment is not justicible to the point of whether its applicable to former executives is still up to the Legislature. Can we look forward to such consistent takes on other issues going forward?

Are you asking in case somebody else tries to bribe another country for election help or incites civil war?

Since they started the article of impeachment while he was in office, I think it’s should be fair game to complete.

Sounds like Trump's defense in the impeachment is going to be "I'm still President, so I can do what I want." That should go well, since the Republicans' main argument is that you can't impeach someone who is not still President.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

He doesn't need a defense. He knows he's not going to get convicted. This is going to be a MAGA rally. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the RS show up in their Trump swag.
