Looks like with the 52 tele i can either remove the neck or just remove the pickguard to get into the truss rod. Not sure a flathead will work but i did order a part so i might hold off until i receive that!

Do you have a capo?

It comes in handy in two ways: one, it's useful when measuring your relief (i.e. the degree of forward/back bow, or relative straightness of your neck), and is also borderline essential if adjusting the truss rod by taking the neck off.

There's probably some good YouTube tutorials on this, but the Fender guide is very helpful: TELECASTER® ADJUSTMENT AND CARE

Also useful for if you want to play familiar chord shapes higher up on the guitar.

How's this going, Strat.

I've been trying to get better at this stuff, so I'm very happy to chat.

Thinking about putting together a guitar out of high quality parts this year. I have ideas.

One of these?

They look handy. I'll have to get one one day, but the $16 shipping (to Aus) keeps putting me off.

Yea, thats exactly what i got.

My tele is just staring at me but it sounds and feels like shit to play. Im actually kind of shocked at how bad the buzzing is.

For any piano or keyboard players...

Would it be a mistake to get a 61-key as opposed to full 88?

This would be for an electric keyboard.

Purpose would be twofold:
- Part of my jam in the garage setup
- For the kids to learn piano when they get older

Okay so i was completely shocked at a truss rod adjustment. Literally thought it would take a little bit more muscle to CRANK A TRUSS ROD IN A SOLID PIECE OF WOOD.

Goes to show my understanding of guitar build.

That being said: I turned it a lot more than anticipated (tiny turns at a time) and with a few tweaks of the saddle, it seems as though my guitar is ready to sing again.

Im never bringing it to someone else again.

Unless something major....

Detune it and play some sonic youth-inspired chords.
