I dont expect her stuff to be this board's cup of tea, but if there's an artist who showed that pop music could feel new and innovative in the last decade, it's SOPHIE. Absolutely devastating lossJorge wrote:Sophie. Accidental fall. 34 years old. What a bummer

With this board's love of trash like Taylor Swift and Grimes, I don't see how they wouldn't be into Sophie too.chewm wrote:I dont expect her stuff to be this board's cup of tea, but if there's an artist who showed that pop music could feel new and innovative in the last decade, it's SOPHIE. Definitely not my style of music, but she was getting all the internet hype from Pitchfork and Rate Your Music in recent years.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: R.I.P.
I’ve heard four albums of hers and they do nothing for me. The one my roommate in 2012 used to listen to is especially annoying.
Static X really isn’t much better but I’ll take Wisconsin Death Trip and Machine over anything Grimes.
